As you get older your heart rate will usually decrease, as it%26#039;s taking more work to pump, if it is increasing then usually the pt is in A Fib, which is an irregular heart beat that can cause an MI.. kinda like its got a short in the wire.. As you get older your heart rate will be affected, excercise and proper diet become much more important.
