Does the speed of your heart rate have anything to do with your breathing?

i need this answer for my science fair

Does the speed of your heart rate have anything to do with your breathing?

Not normally. But if your respiratory rate is too slow, you will become hypoxemic (oxygen starved) which will lead to a rapid heart rate.

Depends. If you exercise then yes. As your heartrate raises, you need to supply oxygenated blood to your muscles. That requires breathing, and since your heart is beating faster and your muscles need more blood, your breathing obviously changes and increases as well.

if what you mean is that they are somehow correlated...not really. if you think about it your heart can beat up to 180 to 200 times per minute but you will not be able to breath more than about 30 times per minute. oxygen delivery becomes much much more efficient the more your tissues need it.
